The Life and Soul Kitchen

The Life and Soul Kitchen is a registered charity café that provides an exciting, different and meaningful day opportunity for adults with disabilities. We provide a person-centred service with our adults at the heart of our organisation.

Our beneficiaries lead the way! Managed and promoted by our individuals with disabilities, the café provides equality to our colleagues (service users), empowering them to achieve their own goals and ideas. Through choice focused support, our colleagues develop and learn skills throughout every aspect of the charity. Whether that is baking or preparing the latest menu they have chosen to serve, hosting front of house in our stylish community café, taking orders or preparing barista coffee.

The community café provides a space for events and as we’re also part of the countywide Talk Community Hub network, we offer information, guidance and signposting for those who may benefit from finding local services and groups. We actively promote individual strengths, ensuring our colleagues are guided to reach their own unique and full potential.

Our Mission Statement

“The Life and Soul Kitchen supporting colleagues to reach their own unique full potential, through empowering choice, independence and self-sufficiency in a fun and safe working environment.”
