Help with home repairs

Herefordshire Council’s You at Home Service may be able to help with small home improvements and adaptations, such as ramps or handrails, to help you remain independent in your own home. Age UK has produced a handy factsheet containing information about the help you can get if your home is in poor condition or unsuitable for your needs, along with financial assistance and practical support available to help you make improvements.

Keep Herefordshire Warm provide free energy efficiency advice for residents in Herefordshire, including potential funding support for those with broken boilers, no central heating or insulation.

There’s also a number of national schemes available, which can recommend traders, including Checkatrade, TrustMark and Which? Trusted Traders.
