Help with household bills

There’s lots of information and advice available to help you stay on top of your bills or steps you can take when you need help with your bills.

Citizens Advice has a useful section on help with your bills, along with sorting out your debt.

Money Helper provide information on the best way to pay your bills and cutting costs on household bills, such as your broadband.

If you need help with paying your energy bills, your energy supplier may be able to suggest some different options for you, including reviewing your payment plan or a payment break.  To find out more, visit the Ofgem website.

If you’re in receipt of benefits, you can arrange for some of your bills, such as rent or water, to be paid directly out of your benefits payment. Take a look at the Government’s website for more details.
