The Hub

The Hub is a secular community project located within a sacred building. St Peter’s is a working church which houses a warm and welcoming café and exhibition space on its ground floor, a community information point on its mezzanine and a library in its bell tower.

The Hub Café serves hot and cold drinks, light lunches, daily 'Chef's Specials', homemade cakes and locally-sourced Rowlestone ice cream.  We have dairy-free and gluten-free options available too.

On the first Saturday of each month the café serves egg, bacon and sausage breakfast baps to eat-in or takeaway.

We run a weekly Chatty Café for those who prefer to eat in company,  a Kids' Play Café for 0-5 year olds and their parents/grandparents/carers, and a Youth Café for 11 - 16 year olds.

There are tables and comfy sofas within the building and outdoor seating at the rear of the church.  Free Wi-Fi is also available and laptops can be borrowed, if required.

Families, walkers, cyclists and well-behaved dogs are all welcome, though we ask larger groups to contact us in advance to check availability.

The Hub hosts exhibitions, activities, courses and workshops for the local community and is available for hire.

We also offer signposting and support: there are weekly drop-in sessions by the Health Visitors for parents of 0-5 year olds, monthly Carer's drop-in session and Social Prescriber sessions together with fortnightly booked in advance appointment with Citizens Advice Herefordshire (please contact them to book and appointment).  Special courses, workshops and events also take place within the building.  We have a Community Helpline and volunteers available to assist with errands on behalf of local residents.

Talk Community Hub

The Hub is also one of Herefordshire Council’s Talk Community Hubs, which means it is known for bringing people together, connecting residents to their communities and providing signposting and wellbeing support within the local area.
