If you’re looking for something to keep you and your family occupied this Easter Holidays, we’ve got you covered! Below is a list of fun activities and events taking place across Herefordshire this Easter.

Courtyard

Courtyard has a range of experiences this month, but on Saturday 16 April, there is an interactive cinema experience that the whole family can enjoy. To book your tickets, click the above link. 

Easter Egg Hunts at Brockhampton

This spring, treat your little ones to a world of adventures at Brockhampton on the Easter adventures in nature trails. Make your way along the trail and find nature-inspired activities for the whole family. The trail takes place between Saturday 9 and Monday 18 April 2022 from 10am to 4pm, so come along and explore the beautiful orchards of Brockhampton. The price of the trail is £3 per child and includes a trail map, pencil and a chocolate egg at the end.

Eastnor Castle

Visit Eastnor Castle for an interesting and fun-filled family day out. Open on selected days from Easter until the end of September, there is plenty to entertain and amuse visitors of all ages. Children of all ages will have endless fun in the Adventure Playground, Knight’s Maze, Junior Obstacle Course and many more attractions. Tree climbing, hill rolling, leaf kicking and stick collecting is also actively encouraged as children connect with the great outdoors.

Eastnor Castle – Easter Global EGGventure Family Treasure Hunt

Enjoy the Easter Global EGGventure Family Treasure Hunt celebrating 150 years of ‘Around the World in 80 Days’. Find clues around the castle and grounds and hand in your entry for a chocolate Malteaster Bunny treat at the end. You’ll also be entered into the prize draw for the chance to win an enormous Easter egg! Friday 15th to Monday 18 April 2022, 10.30am - 5.30pm. Limited pre-booked tickets online only.

Eastnor Pottery and the Flying Potter, Ledbury

Remarkable clay and pottery experiences designed to explore and develop creativity in all ages and abilities – a series of family clay modelling sessions planned for the Easter holidays.

Hintons Country and Garden

Hintons Country and Garden in Leominster are hosting an Easter Fun Day for all the family this Easter Saturday, 16 April from 10am – 3pm. The event is free, although donations are encouraged for participating charities. Lambs, chicks and a pony will be on site. Fun activities include a Draw the Easter Bunny Competition, Treasure Hunt,  Face Painting, Plant a Sunflower, Pet Photography, Hintons Raffle, special shopping discounts and more!

Kilpeck Church and Castle

Easter Egg Hunt at Kilpeck Church on Easter Sunday, 17 April 2:30pm. This is not a church service, just an afternoon of Easter fun! All welcome, hot chocolate and cakes available along with an Easter story.

Maylord Orchards Easter Extravaganza

Some Easter fun at Maylord Orchards, Hereford between 11am – 3pm on Good Friday! 
They have the award winning Non Stop Kids Entertainment LTD joining, who are guaranteed to keep the kids occupied throughout the day. Crepe Happy will also be back serving up sweet and savoury crepes! Why not take part in the Easter trail and solve all the riddles for the chance to win an Easter hamper? Disco, party games, prizes and lots more! It's going to be a fun filled day. If you're early you might even be lucky enough to see the princesses from Enchanted Kingdom Hereford! 


Newbridge Farm Park

Newbridge Farm Park is open daily 10am – 5pm. Visit the farm where there are crafts every day, a free Easter Hunt for all children (with a prize) and pony rides on Thursday 21 April. They will be open all day so no need to choose a morning or afternoon session and you can visit their website (link above) to prebook.

Oaks Holiday Club

The Oaks, based in Leominster have a holiday club on over the Easter Holidays. Please contact them directly on 01568 611274 or at admin@oakschildrensgroup.org.uk.

Oaks Woodland Days

Does your child love the outdoors? Why not book them in for their new woodland day session this Easter, at the Oaks, Leominster. Suitable for ages 6 to 14. Please note, this will be separate to their usual holiday club and will need to be booked separately. Spaces for woodland days will be very limited so please book in ASAP to secure your child’s place by ringing 01568613274 or emailing admin@oakschildrensgroup.org.uk.

Queenswood, Leominster

The Gruffalo Easter Egg Hunt is on at Queenswood, Leominster, 10am - 4pm on Saturday 9th to 24 April. Follow the trail, complete the quiz, and return to the visitor centre to claim your toy prize. £3 per person + parking – no booking is needed.

Ralph Court Gardens, Bromyard

Ralph Court Gardens is a great day out for all the family. Different themed gardens for adults & children, water features, music, flower beds. Twelve Unique Gardens to Explore. From Italy to Africa transport yourself around the world and beyond into a mythical-fantasy world. With a surprise around every corner, the gardens are for all ages and wheel-chair friendly. Opening times; 10 am to 5 pm every day.

Easter events – Friday 15 to Monday 18 April 2022 join Ralph Court Gardens for their ‘MAD’ Easter weekend!! Free Cadbury Easter Eggs for all children completing the garden quiz.

Small Breeds Animal Farm and Owl Centre, Kington

Discover the animals at the Small Breeds Farm Park and Owl Centre. Set in a glorious rural environment you have a unique opportunity for a close encounter with many rare, miniature and very special friendly animals. Open every day, 10.30am – 5pm – no booking required. The ‘hands-on’ experience is actively encouraged and you may wish to feed some of them with our specially formulated food. Adults: £11.00, Children £7.50 – under 2 year olds go free.

The Grange

Super Easter event on Saturday 16 April at the Grange, Leominster. This event is between 10am – 2pm and is free. Get into your costumes and come along for a day of fun with the family!

The Kindle Centre – Big Family eat

Big Family Eat welcomes everyone to The Kindle Centre in Hereford on Saturday 16 April 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. Come along with your children and help them bake, make and cook delicious food and snacks. Booking is essential so please email louisa@growinglocal.org.uk or call / text 07902802982. This event is free but donations are welcome

The Waterworks Museum

On Tuesday, 19 April why not bring the children along to the Waterworks Museum for some great junk modelling. Children love to glue and sellotape together recycled household items (boxes, cartons, tubes, bottles & cardboard) to make and then decorate junk-models to take home. No booking required – just drop in. Junk Modelling open 11am – 3pm. Suitable for ages 5-11 (younger visitors with parental support). Free admission for under 16s.

There is also a Steam Day on Easter Sunday, 17 April, 11am – 4pm. Enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of a Victorian waterworks with all steam and other engines working. There's plenty for all the family too with children’s activities including the Frog Trail, Firefighting Quiz and Story of Water Quiz. You can also learn about Hereford in World War Two in the Rotherwas exhibition. Afterwards you can relax in the cafe or picnic in the grounds. Free admission for under 16s. 

Woods of Whitchurch

Come along to a Children’s Easter egg hunt on Saturday 16 April, at Woods of Whitchurch near Ross-on-Wye. Time slots are every 30 minutes and are between 3pm – 5pm. The event is suitable for all ages, will be held in the garden and is £5 per child. If you’d like to book, please call them on 01600 891021 - Payment will be taken to confirm your booking.
