Connecting Business & Charity

Herefordshire is home to a variety of fantastic businesses who between them have a wide range of skills, resources and knowledge.

The aim of this group is to connect those businesses with Herefordshire’s charities, allowing both to flourish for the benefit of everyone in Herefordshire.

Initiated by Jo Hilditch, the former High Sheriff of Herefordshire, and supported by hvoss, we will be running regular networking events to allow charities and businesses to meet in a relaxed and informal environment.  Businesses will be able to support the vital work of local charities and community groups that match their corporate responsibilities, whether that’s through volunteering, resources or financial contributions.

If you’re interested in finding out more, please join our LinkedIn Group.  Our LinkedIn group enables charities to ask for practical support, where needed.  It can enable businesses to decide on a project they can easily commit to, or promote what they can offer directly to charities.

We hold networking events to get members together regularly which are a fantastic way to meet other local businesses and charities.  Following on from a networking breakfast in April 2022, Adam Best from The Herefordshire Board Gamers commented that “It was amazing to see such a wide range of people, from large organisations down to small charities and groups.  Some had over 40 years of experience giving to their communities and others were just starting to look at ways to give back. It was nice to see the ‘giving’ community in one room to know that you are not alone”

We will be announcing the dates of our upcoming events in the near future on our LinkedIn platform, so keep an eye on this page to book your space.

If you would like to sign up to the Connecting Business & Charity mailing list to make sure you hear about future events please email: talkcommunityengagement@herefordshire.gov.uk
