Cost of living roadshow 2023

Talk Community, with partners, are running a series of events across the county to help residents find support with the cost of living.
These events will give people the opportunity to seek support, and speak to organisations who can signpost and provide information on a range of issues related to the cost of living. Please note each event is unique and may contain different services; all this information is provided below.
No appointment is needed, so drop in and say hello - they are open to everyone across Herefordshire.

Whether it’s money and debt advice, queries around energy bills, or if you need tips on keeping warm while saving money, drop into The Matrix in Hereford and come and say hi.

We have a number of fantastic organisations attending the event to help with energy advice, information on pensions and much more! Check out the list below.
Age UK - Offering advice on pension credit, attendance allowance, cost of living payments. There are things you can do to manage your money and places to turn if you're struggling to stay on top of your finances.
Bromyard Methodist Church - Place of Welcome
CarerLinks - Offering emotional and practical support to unpaid carers, helping them to protect their health and wellbeing and cope with their caring role. Carer advisors provide a listening ear and can link carers into services and support.
Citizens Advice - Citizens Advice can help to check what benefits you might be able to claim or increase your current benefits. Advice on debt solutions, bankruptcy and individual voluntary arrangements (IVAs).
Food Bank Bromyard - The food bank's aim is to help those in financial need living in the Bromyard and the surrounding area. It combines the provision of emergency food parcels with the offer of help managing money and sorting out debts.
The Hope Centre - Providing information about the support they offer and what services and groups are available to support locally.
IDVA - If you are experiencing domestic abuse of any kind in Herefordshire, Refuge’s regional IDVA service can support you and your children to keep safe.
Severn Wye - Offering free local home energy advice to households in Herefordshire. They give free energy advice to help you stay warm and healthy in your home by helping you reduce your energy bills, switch energy tariff or supplier, or access grants to support your energy needs.
Taurus Healthcare – Will be providing health checks and signposting.
Wellbeing and Recovery College - Offering a wide range of course and workshops designed to take each individual on a journey however short or long, to find not only new skills, but the knowledge and understanding of what health and wellbeing and recovery means to them.
