Halloween Book Hunt... 🎃

Date: Saturday 4 November 2023 Time: 12:00am - 12:00am Venue: Herefordshire Cost: £0.00 per person Organiser: The Children's Bookshelf
“Halloween Book Hunt” 🎃🙂📚

This half term “The Children’s Bookshelf” and some lovely local volunteers will be hiding books all around Herefordshire.

We put a plea out a while ago on our social media asking for donations of lightly used second hand Children’s books, and we asked for volunteers from Herefordshire to help hide the books around the county.

The books are now packaged up and ready to be hidden, some have already been hidden and found! ❤️

Our mission is to spread the joy of books and reading all over the county.
When the children find a book, they can hold onto it or when they have read the book they can put it back in its plastic sleeve and pop it out again for another child to find.

Each book will be hidden somewhere like in a shop window, in a local park, they could be propped up by a post box or hidden in a bus shelter, anywhere where local children will hopefully find them.

Thank you to everyone who has donated books and to all the volunteers who have already hidden books and who will be hiding books next week for us. 🙏

We are now collecting for our next book hunt which will be taking place in January. So we will be happy to take any lightly used and clean children’s books. Any age will be fine.
Please bring them in to us at The Children’s Bookshelf, 3 Gomond Street, Hereford. HR12DP.
You will find us next to Claire’s in The Maylords. 🙌
