England Illegal Money Lending Team

We investigate, prosecute and arrest illegal money lenders (loan sharks) in England and help the people that have borrowed from them get their lives back on track.

We work as Stop Loan Sharks within local communities, within education, and with partner agencies including the police. Investigating and prosecuting loan sharks is an important part of the England IMLT’s work and is combined with awareness raising of the problems and issues that illegal money lending causes.

Our free online sessions explain who we are, what we do, how we do it and how we can work together to help victims of illegal lenders. 

The live, trainer-led training sessions last for 1 hour and take place online at 10am on the following dates in January, February and March 2024.
