Performing Arts For Little Pickles

At our Talk Community Parent Hub, we provide entertainment for young children followed by general support, advice and signposting for parents and families.

Performing Arts For Little Pickles starts at 10am on Thursdays, where toddlers and preschoolers explore those everyday struggles and big emotions through role play and story. We introduce your little ones to our friendly furry characters who struggle with life just like they do!

Watch in delight as teddy bear Patch refuses to wear her coat in the garden and chaos ensues. Feel the despair of poor Custard bear, who just doesn't want to stop playing to go to bed. Discover how Sunny the meercat overcomes his fear of carrots. And more!

By recreating everyday difficulties with soft toys and simple storylines, children learn about empathy and problem solving, creating discussion points for parents also wanting to find solutions. Then let your children's imaginations soar in our expressive stories, which bring new and familiar stories to life in our simple and immersive performances.

As the children take over and create their own play, you're invited to relax, have a cuppa and get to know other parents in your community. Our counsellor and mindfulness teacher are on hand until 12pm to offer a listening ear, professional advice and signposting to other services.

Be supported, be empowered, be entertained.

Sessions are free, and take place during term time only, on Thursdays from 10am to 12pm.  Performing Arts For Little Pickles starts at 10am. Our Talk Community Parent Hub continues through to 12pm.
