Alcohol Awareness Week 3 - 9 July 2023
04 July 2023
Alcohol Awareness Week is a campaign coordinated by Alcohol Change UK and is a chance for the UK to get thinking about drinking.
The theme for Alcohol Awareness Week 2023 is ‘Alcohol and cost', highlighting the personal costs of drinking too much and too often and the benefits of cutting down.
The personal costs of drinking can be huge, putting a strain on finances, relationships and health. Drinking alcohol can also leave us time poor, affecting our sleep, making us low in energy and less time present.
By taking control of our drinking, we can save money, gain back time, improve our health, relationships and have more energy and better sleep.
A great way to start is by recording what you drink for a few weeks to help you understand your drinking pattern, then setting yourself some achievable goals to get it back under control.
Use the free app ‘Try Dry’ to help you keep track, and set goals to help you cut down.
