Celebrate the Platinum Jubilee with Herefordshire Libraries

25 May 2022

It's time to get excited about the Jubilee in Herefordshire Libraries! There's lots of activities and events happening to mark Her Majesty The Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations, marking 70 years.
Hereford and Ross-on-Wye libraries will be holding special Free Jubilee Storytimes:
  • Hereford Library - Monday 30 May, 10am - 11am and 11.30am - 12.30pm
  • Ross-on-Wye Library - Monday 30 May, 2pm - 3pm
For full details and to book or view our events,
visit the Eventbrite website. These are expected to sell out quickly, so book now!
Hereford, Leominster and Ledbury libraries will be having Wildplay May Crown making workshops. These activities are drop-in sessions, so no need to book:
  • Leominster Library - Tuesday 31 May, 10am - 12 noon
  • Hereford Library - Wednesday 1 June, 10am - 12 noon
  • Ledbury Library - Saturday 4 June, 10am - 12 noon
From Saturday 28th May each library will offer craft materials for children to enjoy making their own crown whilst visiting the library, and the book of the month on BorrowBox will be “The Crown” by Robert Lacey.
The libraries are also running a competition for children to tell us how they would like to spend a day with the Queen in Herefordshire. Visit your local library to find out more or follow Herefordshire Libraries on Facebook.
