New parent and toddler groups in Herefordshire

New parent and toddler groups have sprung up across Herefordshire!

They offer free learning and play sessions for families with children under 3 years old.

Many parent and toddler groups stopped meeting following the periods of isolation during the pandemic. As a result, families with young children missed out on this social interaction.

These new parent and toddler groups have been funded by the Government’s Covid-19 Outbreak Management Funds grant, as part of Herefordshire Council’s Covid-19 recovery plan, to support economic recovery and improve wellbeing in Herefordshire.  It is anticipated that the new groups will help with reducing feelings of isolation, improving the mental wellbeing of parents and will assist with child development through socialisation.

The groups create fantastic opportunities for families to socialise and network, access tools and information and find out more about how to access nursery education funding and Start for Life literature.

The sessions are open to all across Herefordshire to encourage learning and development through play and help bring parents and children back together.
