Volunteers Week 1st - 7th June 2023

01 June 2023

Volunteers’ Week is an annual celebration of volunteers. It's a chance to recognise the incredible contribution that volunteers make to our community and an opportunity to say thank you.

Herefordshire volunteers’ are amazing!

Across Herefordshire volunteers’ play a vital role in understanding and meeting local needs, supporting many of the services we rely on in the community.

In early 2023, Herefordshire Council, in partnership with hvoss (Herefordshire Voluntary Organisations Support Service) published a report ‘The State of the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector in Herefordshire’ which celebrates the incredible contribution made by the 2,300 voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSE’s) across the county. If you would like to read the report in full you can download it here.

Say thank you!

If you would like to learn more about how you can thank volunteers, from hosting an awards ceremony, to posting on social media visit the Volunteers Week website. The website also offers helpful guidance and practical support for volunteer managers.
