Swap to Stop

Quitting smoking using vapes

Vaping or e-cigarettes are promoted to adults who already smoke as a way to reduce or quit smoking. Using an e-cigarette can help you manage your nicotine cravings.

E-liquids come in different nicotine strengths, so you control how much nicotine you need to help with cravings and other withdrawal symptoms, such as feeling irritable and having low mood.

Studies show vaping is up to 95% less harmful than smoking tobacco. This is because vapes do not produce tar or carbon monoxide - two of the most damaging elements in tobacco smoke.

More information about quitting smoking using e-cigarettes can be found on the NHS website - Better Health.

Find out more about our Swap to Stop service in this video, and how we can help you to give up smoking tobacco.

But we always recommend that if you don't smoke - don't vape.
