Drugs and Alcohol
Alcohol and drug misuse can stop you from providing safe care for your children. If you feel like your use of drink or drugs is becoming unmanageable and affecting your family life you may need to seek support to bring back the balance.
Top Tips
- Talk to someone. Talking about your drink or drug use can really help you feel better and able to tackle it. This could be a friend or family member or a health professional.
- Understand what’s going on for you, what has triggered your overuse? Talking to someone or writing your feelings down can help you understand why you feel like you need alcohol or drugs to make things feel more manageable.
